Position Overview
We're as ambitious as the brands we work with and see Strategy as key to achieving our ambitions. As Strategy Director you'll lead on strategy and be a member of the senior leadership team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our future, further developing our strategy offer, mentoring a talented team and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth and enhance our competitive edge.
You’ll work closely with Missouri’s founding partners, creatives and experienced client services, new business and marketing teams, based in our Hoxton studio for 4 days/week, with some flexibility.
What you bring
- You have 7+ years’ experience in strategy roles for a creative/design agencies, with specific experience in design strategy.
- You’re probably either already a Strategy Director wanting greater autonomy and growth potential, or you’re a Senior Strategist looking to make the step up.
- You have a passion for brands, design and culture and for working out what makes people tick, with an unceasing curiosity that means you’re always in touch with the latest trends.
- You’re a sharp, visionary, critical thinker, with the gravitas to act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, helping them to unlock opportunities to grow the value of their brands and create business opportunities for Missouri.
- You’re strategic and conceptual, challenging us, our clients and yourself to develop transformative thinking and to inspire award-winning creativity.
- You have a deep understanding of the world of brand positioning, brand architecture, brand identity, packaging and activation, with a proven record of pitching and winning.
- You have experience as Strategy lead on global brand projects, identifying client needs, understanding the categories they play in and developing insights and propositions that inspire outstanding creative work.
- You have the ability to distil complex information into powerful, clearly-defined strategic opportunities and narratives, and to present these in compelling ways, both internally and to clients.
- You’re capable of producing high quality thought leadership content to support agency new business and marketing activity.
- You’ll have experience in working with FMCG brands (preferably Drinks brands but this is not mandatory).
